I've been searching for the perfect mascara for what feels like my whole life. I certainly don't think I've found the holy grail, but I have been using one lately that is keeping me coming back for more.
The
Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara is pretty darn effective at giving me those false-looking eyelashes. With only 2 or 3 coats I'm good to go and it lasts all day, without the dreaded transfer
and without fading away to look like one measly coat of cheap mascara. I don't love the fat, rubber wand but it actually does a pretty good job of coating my lashes, and although the bristles aren't as eye-stabbingly long as those on the
They're Real wand they do a commendable job of keeping my eyelashes separated.
The photos above show the mascara on uncurled lashes, which might seem outrageous to those of you who are Shu Uemera worshippers, but I genuinely find my lashes look worse if I curl them.
It
retails at £10.99 which is on the pricier side for a drugstore mascara, however I think it's worth it as it's certainly one of the best drugstore ones I've ever tried!
